Welcome to Facemetrics, operated by Esnap Labs (“Company”, “we”, “our”, “us”). We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect data when you use the Facemetrics app and related services (“Services”).
By using our Services, you consent to the practices described in this policy.2. Information We Collect
We collect the following information (if provided) to provide and improve our Services:
- Account Information: such as your email address and any profile data you provide.
- Usage Data: information about how you interact with the app, including analytics and device information (e.g., device model, operating system, IP address).
- Uploaded Images: processed temporarily for analysis only; we do NOT store or retain these images after processing.
- Analysis Results: data generated by our algorithms based on your inputs. (Only the overall scores you see out of 10)3. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to:
- Provide and operate the Services you use
- Process and analyze images for facial metrics (temporarily and securely)
- Improve our algorithms and app performance using aggregated, anonymized data
- Communicate with you regarding updates, support, and promotional offers (with your consent)
- Comply with legal obligations2A. Facial Data Collection and Processing
- Facial Analysis Data: We do not collect facial landmark points, measurements, angles, and proportions for analysis, these are on device and are never stored.
- No Biometric Templates: We do not create, store, or use facial recognition templates or biometric identifiers
- No Image Storage: Uploaded images are processed locally and immediately discarded
- Analysis Results Only: Only numerical scores are retained, never any images
- Temporary Processing: Facial analysis occurs in real-time and images are deleted immediately after processing3A. Aggregated Analytics and Benchmarks
We may create and use de-identified, aggregated statistics derived from your analysis results and app usage (e.g., benchmark distributions and trends). These aggregates contain no personal data and are not reasonably usable to identify you. These are just for fun.
- Participation: Where available, you may control participation in aggregated analytics via in-app settings, or contact us to request exclusion from future aggregation. Aggregates already produced are de-identified and not linked back to you.
- Safeguards: We apply privacy safeguards (such as minimum cohort sizes and other techniques) to reduce re-identification risk. Aggregated data is not sold and is shared only with service providers acting on our behalf.
- Retention and Use: Aggregated, de-identified data may be retained to improve features, generate benchmarks, and ensure service quality.4. Image Privacy and Security
- Images you upload are processed primarily on-device. For certain features, limited remote processing by vetted third-party AI services may occur; in those cases, images are transmitted over TLS and are not retained after processing.
- Images are only stored temporarily for analysis and are deleted immediately after processing.
- We do not sell, share, or distribute your images to any third parties for commercial use.
- We implement technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data during processing.
4A. Image Privacy and Security
- Local Processing: Images are processed primarily on your device using local algorithms.
- No Permanent Storage: Images are never stored in our databases or cloud storage.
- Immediate Deletion: Images are deleted immediately after analysis is complete.
- Secure Transmission: For advanced features requiring cloud processing, images are transmitted over encrypted TLS connections and deleted immediately after processing
- No Third-Party Access: Images are never shared with third parties for commercial purposes
- Analysis Results: Only numerical scores, measurements, and analysis metadata are stored in your private account5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
We may share information with:
- Service providers who assist us in delivering the Services (under confidentiality agreements)
- Legal authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Because we do not store uploaded images, they are not retained beyond immediate processing. Aggregated, de-identified analytics may be retained to improve and monitor service quality.
- Uploaded Images: Not retained - deleted immediately after processing
- Analysis Results: Retained until you delete your account or individual analyses, again only the scores - no measurements or other text.
- Account Deletion: All data permanently removed within 30 days of account deletion request
- Aggregated Data: De-identified analytics may be retained for service improvement7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights including:
- Accessing and correcting your personal data
- Requesting deletion of your personal data
- Opting out of marketing communications
- Objecting to or restricting certain processing activities
- You can also export all of your data at any given time in the app itself.

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information but cannot guarantee absolute security due to inherent risks of internet transmission.9. International Data Transfers
Our Services are hosted and operated in the United States. By using the Services, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.10. Children’s Privacy
Our Services are not directed to individuals under 17 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 17. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
